American Ballet Theatre opens its 2012 spring season at the Metropolitan Opera House. Few ballet companies equal ABT for its combination of size, scope and history. Recognized as a living national treasure since its founding in 1940, this company has been the home of some of the greatest dancers from all over the world. NYC-ARTS chats with dancers Kevin McKenzie, Julie Kent and David Hallberg.
NYC-ARTS is made possible in part by First Republic Bank. Major funding for NYC-ARTS is also made possible by Rosalind P. Walter in memory of Dina Merrill, the Kate W. Marcus, The Lewis “Sonny” Turner Fund for Dance, Elise Jaffe and Jeffrey Brown, The Milton and Sally Avery Arts Foundation, and the Elroy and Terry Krumholz Foundation.
