A sneak preview of Oregon Experience's documentary on Thomas Condon coming February 22, 2016. Irish immigrant Thomas Condon was a Congregational minister and Oregon's first state geologist. Missionary work brought him to Oregon in 1852 where he eventually settled in The Dalles. There he began collecting and identifying fossils that were abundant in the nearby hills.
