I think the biggest thing to know about our community is that we are like anybody else in any other community.
We're contributors, we're mothers, we're fathers, we're brothers, we're sisters.
I think that misconceptions of our community is that we want to only exist with ourselves and that just goes against the basis of equality and of acceptance.
For me, my mind is that we want to coexist as a world, as a whole, to celebrate each other and our differences.
I think that a lot of times we use misconceptions to generate fear to drive people to be persuaded or to see things from a certain point of view and for me, that's not what our community is about.
Our community is about seeing people for who they are, loving people for who they are, accepting people for who they are and in turn, people are able to thrive.
