Alderpeople on Why They Are Heading to City Hall Exits
Clip: 7/26/2022 | 9m 9sVideo has Closed Captions
A City Council exodus. We talk with four alderpeople about their decision to leave office.
The next City Council -- elected in 20-23 -- will look a LOT different than the current one. That's because many alderpeople are headed to the exits. Alderman Michael Scott, Jr. stepped away in June. Aldermen Roderick Sawyer and Ray Lopez are running for mayor instead. And a third, Alderwoman Sophia King, is considering a run for mayor. Some are dealing with legal issues.
