Clyde Pangborn, a barnstorming pilot who flew the first non-stop flight across the Pacific

Clyde Pangborn, a Northwest native, lived a life pushing the aviation envelope. A combination of daredevil and calculating engineer. Pang perfected his flying skills in the 1920s as a barnstormer, performing death-defying feats, such as, walking on wings and his signature stunt of flying upside down In 1931, Pangborn was first to cross the Pacific nonstop, landing in Wenatchee, Washington.
