Two survivors recall their experiences on a "Freedom Rides" bus in the summer of 61.
Genevieve Houghton and Thomas Madison III risked their lives for the cause for civil rights by joining the Freedom Rides of 1961. Houghton was among the original group boarding a bus in Washington D. C. bound for the south. The ride ended violently in Anniston, AL when her bus was firebombed. Armstrong joined hundreds of college students to continue where the first group had been halted.
